RACHAEL WHITTLE

A love of sport combined with a fascination for science led Rachael to study physics and human movement. After completing her Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) she has been teaching junior science, physics and physical education for the past eight years. She is currently enjoying the challenge of motherhood and marvelling daily at the wonder of the human body as she watches her daughter grow.

Her most amusing experience in the science lab took place after designing and detailing an experiment for water rockets, which her year 11 Physics students took to the oval to launch. Obviously they did not take launch direction into account in their planning, with a number of rockets landing on the gymnasium roof!
