The Science & Life Gallery showcases three interactive exhibitions: Southern Diversity, the Science Arcade, and the Virtual Room (link to these from the website). A parade of 41 Australian animals leads visitors into Southern Diversity, which highlights the variety and unique qualities of Australia's native flora and fauna. The exhibition also explores six Victorian environments: the Mallee, river red gum forests, alpine areas, rocky coasts, bays and the deep ocean. This will have students spellbound.

If there is time, an excursion to the Science and Life Gallery at Melbourne Museum would provide the students with a wealth of information about different ecosystems.
